Rob and Matthijs, school friends united by a passion for entrepreneurship, embarked on their journey during their hotel school days in Groningen and Leeuwarden. Balancing studies with work in hospitality and events, their entrepreneurial spirit shone through. Their friendship flourished as they organized events together, with Matthijs managing hospitality and Rob ensuring smooth execution behind the scenes. This partnership thrived, leading them to an internship in Bali. Returning to the Netherlands, they briefly worked in temporary employment before realizing their true calling. Ordering a container of various products, they found success with their tableware, which perfectly aligned with their hospitality industry experience. Recognizing market demand, they launched St. James porcelain, focusing on lightweight, practical solutions for the hospitality sector. Today, their enduring friendship and shared passion continue to drive their success story in serving the industry.
